Alice loved all of her family and she did all she could throughout her life to love and care for them. She was especially dedicated to her special needs son, Jimmie Harold Ellis Jr. She and her husband cared for him in their home for many years. And when he was placed in the nursing home in Dallas, Alice visited him every day. Alice was very creative in many ways. She sewed, crocheted, pieced quilt tops, and did crafts. She loved to make fleece scarves and blankets along with delicious jellies and preserves. These items became gifts for family and friends…really everyone she met. Mrs. Ellis had an amazing pig collection that derived from her love of a pet pig. She also enjoyed collecting dolls and making doll clothes.
Alice was a woman of great faith. She loved her Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ. She was an avid reader as well.
Before moving to her Paulding County Home, she resided in Southwest Atlanta for many years. While living in Atlanta she worked downtown at the Rich’s Department Store. After moving to Paulding County she worked at Paulding Hospital in the respiratory department.
She loved so many and was loved by many.
