Obituary

Alcimus Harrison “Punk” Williams passed away on the morning of April 6, 2020 in his home beside his beloved wife Mary Ann Williams. He was a loving husband, father, grandfather, great grandfather and uncle. He was a kind, gentle and caring man to all who knew him. Throughout his life he had a 64 yr job history with local and state law enforcement. Which included a long stint within the state probation system. Through those years he volunteered and served on several event security teams. One of which included that of the 1996 Atlanta Olympics. While in high school Harrison competed on the school’s baseball team which extended into an All Star Team after graduation. He was able to travel for many years competing at the All Star level and at one time he was even offered a position on a Major League Baseball team. Harrison was always one to take care of others before ever thinking about himself. He would give you the shirt off of his back if you needed it. He had a love for all like no other. Private Services will be held.

Mr. Williams was preceded in death by: First Wife - Faye Williams; Grandson - Ryan Wingfield

Survivors include: Wife - Mary Ann Williams; Daughters - Vicky and Kirk Hoffman and Melissa Earwood; Sons - Ken Williams, Tim and Terri Williams, Terry and Kim Williams and Andrew and Jessica Wingfield; Grandchildren - Jennifer Waters, Jessica Starr, Tyler Hoffman, Ryan Williams, Thomas Hoffman, Lauren Williams, Rylee Earwood; Many Great Grandchildren and Nieces and Nephews.

It is with great sadness that I am unable to attend Punk’s funeral. He was a good big brother to me as a kid. He taught me the skills that I would need to pursue my career. He was a loving Daddy to his children, Ken, Tim, Terry and Vicky. I have so many fond memories of my childhood with him. Rest In Peace, big brother

Mary Ann, my heart goes out to you and your family. Harrison was a wonderful person and he truly showed his love for you and his family. I thought the world of him and enjoyed so much our years together in GPA. Take care of yourself.

My condolences to the Williams family. I had the pleasure of working with Harrison for several years at Dekalb County Probation. Harrison knew everyone and everyone respected him. He was someone you could rely on to get things done. He will be missed.
