You know when an obituary starts off with "Roll Tide!" It's going to be a good one. With great sadness we announce the passing of Charles Kirk, our loving and devoted father and friend to many. He died peacefully surrounded by family, November 7,2020 in his 74th year.

Born in Piedmont, Alabama, he proudly served his country in the United States Marine Corp during Vietnam. He was a Marine for life. Semper Fi. He was an honored member of Bartlett Masonic Lodge 139 F&AM. He was also a member of the American Legion 294 in Powder Springs, Georgia.

Charles was a God Loving man and dedicated to his family. He was a community volunteer and coach to many young men over the years. He worked for CSX Railroad for almost 30 years and was an advocate for the better treatment of workers through his active membership of the Union. He would do anything to help another person.

Charles Kirk, beloved husband of the late Lagita Kirk. Cherished father of Matt (Tammy), and Mandi Kirk. Proud Poppy to Gabbi, Sarah and Savannah.

Dear brother of Barbra Moss (Larry) and Phillip Kirk. Remembered by many nieces and nephews.

Most of all he loved his family and instilled in them strong values that have served them well. He will be dearly missed and forever in our hearts.
